Educational Service Center of Franklin County

The Educational Service Center of Franklin County has the following position available for the 2008-09 school year

Position Vacancy: Intervention Specialist (mild/moderate) for elementary school cross categorical class for the Educational Service Center of Franklin County

Description: Full-time Intervention Specialist (mild/moderate) for the 2008-09 school year. This person will be working with students in an intensive behavioral support elementary classroom in the Bexley City Schools.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Valid certificate from the Ohio Department of Education
• Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., a negative TB test)
• Documentation of a clear criminal record
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies
• Training and/or experience in behavioral management techniques is preferred
• Previous experience implementing Positive Behavior Supports (PBS): Classroom strategies (Tier II) and individual strategies (Tier III)

Contract: 12-month/187 day contract

Salary: Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule

Reports To: Director, Center for Student Services
