2019 Summer Information

Summer Academy

Bexley Summer Academy gives students many opportunities for fun, creativity, extra help and enrichment. Courses encourage innovation, independent initiative, leadership, and creativity. See a list of courses offered below and a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
Summer Academy programming runs throughout the summer based on scheduling of courses. Location of classes is Bexley High School, 326 South Cassingham Road, unless otherwise noted.

BMS Suggested Summer Reading List (Optional)

For the upcoming summer, we encourage students to read. Read about things that interest you. Read classics, popular fiction, or old favorites, but read. We have selected a few books that have been compelling reads for past summer reading programs.

There will be no assignment attached to the reading, but we may have initial classroom discussions about your summer reading.

We encourage you to read as many of the below books, as well as others. The Bexley Public Library also has summer reading programs and recommendations if you need further resources.

School Supply List

A printable supply list can be found here: 19-20 BMS Supply List.pdf
Or you can order from PTO Supply Kits and have your supplies waiting for you on supply pickup day. This is one of the few fundraiser we do all year and we hear each year how helpful families find it. Proceeds support school trips like 6th grade Camp and 8th grade Washington DC, keeping them affordable for all families.
