Melissa Lacroix (Melissa.Lacroix@BexleySchools.org)
is the parent of two Bexley graduates and was reelected in 2015 to a second four-year Board term. She previously served as a time management and efficiency analyst as the manager of the cost analysis department for a steamship company in New Orleans. A 23-year resident, she and husband, Paul raised three children in Bexley. As a community volunteer, she has worked with such organizations as the Childhood League Center, Junior League and St. Catharine's Parish Council, as well as served on two school levy campaign financial task forces.  Ms. Lacroix was sworn in for a second term as Board President in January 2017.

graduated from Bexley High School in 1995 and was elected in 2015 to a second four-year term.  A designer of exhibits for children's museums and science centers around the world, he returned to Bexley in 2008 with his wife, Meagan Matteson, also a Bexley graduate.  The couple has one son at Montrose and another at BMS. Mr. Denison received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Miami University and holds a Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University. He brings to the Board his experience in design, with a focus on creativity, communication and collaboration.
 
has resided in Bexley for 17 years with his wife, Karla Rutherford Barno, a Bexley graduate. They have four daughters, including three Bexley High School graduates and one currently enrolled at Cassingham Elementary. Mr. Barno holds B.A. degrees in Communications and Political Science from Heidelberg University and a J.D. degree from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He is managing partner of Barno Law LLC located on East Main Street in Bexley. He is active in numerous school and church organizations, as well as Bexley athletics and Bexley Boosters, and has served on the board for the Bexley Area Chamber of Commerce.
 
was elected in November 2015 for the remainder of a four-year term that was vacated in January 2015.  Ms. Mitchell has worked in various volunteer capacities in Bexley Schools, such as coaching an athletics team and assisting with the Success4All initiative.  With a B.S. in Business Management from Ohio Dominican University, Ms. Mitchell has spent some 20 years in the property management industry, overseeing high-end luxury portfolios.  She and husband Brian have four school-aged children enrolled in Bexley Schools.
 
Marlee Snowdon (Marlee.Snowdon@BexleySchools.org
was reelected in 2013 for a second term on the Board.  She served as President for two years. Holding a B.A. in history from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University College of Law, she formerly practiced labor and employment law. Ms. Snowdon and her spouse, Rick, moved to Bexley in 1997. Two of their children attend Bexley High School and the youngest is at BMS. Named Bexley’s Friend of Education in 2009, she has chaired the district’s All-Day Kindergarten Committee and Maryland’s Playground Project, among other volunteer positions.

SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH 
Bexley is in the process of choosing a new superintendent to lead the school district as we go forward into our second century. As the Board of Education members choose and interview candidates, they value input from the community. We hope residents, faculty and students will take part in this very important decision.  The national search firm, HYA Associates, conducted community focus groups and a survey to determine the qualities residents would like to see in their new leader.  The Board approved that Leadership Profile in December 2016. This timeline shows the steps of the hiring process and lists opportunities for public input.  Please notice a slight revision to the timeline to accommodate 7 candidates interviews. The Board expects to announce the new Superintendent in April 2017.
