A child is eligible for entrance into Bexley Schools' kindergarten if the child is five years old on or before August 1 of the entrance year. Early entrance to kindergarten may be a way to meet the needs of the exceptional child who is both academically ready and developmentally mature when compared with other children of the same age.
Ohio law says that a child can be evaluated for early entrance upon the request of the child's parent/guardian. Very few children meet the requirements for early entrance. For more information, read the Bexley Schools' FAQ on the subject or contact the principal of the school that the child will attend.
