Description:
We are thrilled to announce the 5th Annual Community Cardboard Challenge!  It will be held at the Montrose Playground from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2019.  We will be in the gym in event of rain. This event is part of the "Global Day of Play", inspired by Caine's Arcade, which you can view here: http://cainesarcade.com.  The Cardboard Challenge celebrates play, imagination, innovation, and teamwork!

This event is free and open to the public. All materials are provided; cardboard, duct tape, trophies, and box cutters.  All you have to bring is your imagination. It is not necessary to pre-register but we do ask that children are accompanied by a responsible adult.

Tupelo’s Doughnut truck will be there for families to enjoy some coffee and doughnuts!

This event requires a LOT of cardboard, so please start saving ALL of your cardboard, even if you can't attend attend the event, to donate to our Cardboard Challenge!  We need big things like moving boxes and appliance boxes, and we need small things like toilet paper rolls and macaroni boxes. Cardboard with color is always very popular.  If it's made of cardboard and it's clean, we'll take it! Please send all donations to the art room.

More information about this global event can be found here: http://imagination.org/our-projects/cardboard-challenge/
