This is Cassingham's third year of partnering with Life Care Alliance to staff a lunchtime weekday Meals on Wheels delivery route. Cassingham families take turns delivering meals to local citizens close to Cassingham, in the Berwick and Eastmoor neighborhoods.
Families have found this experience to be very rewarding. The time commitment is generally one weekday each month. Parents usually pick up the meals in Whitehall, pick up students from Cassingham during the lunch hour, deliver meals, return students to Cassingham, and return meal carriers to the Whitehall location. We send out online sign-ups so you can choose the days you want to deliver.
We need new families to join our rotation. Our Cassingham route is led by parents Jill Spiker & Elissa Litfin. If you volunteer, you need to attend a mandatory training session. If you cannot attend this session, please let us know and we can find out other training options on other dates in the Columbus area.
