The Fentanyl Crisis: What you Need to Know to Keep Your Kids Safe
The number of drug-related deaths in the United States has risen to more than 100,000 per year. Many (perhaps most) of them are the result of unintentional fentanyl ingestion. This national tragedy hit home last spring with the death of 2019 BHS grad Eli Weinstock in his college apartment.

Eli’s mother Beth Weinstock, a respected community member and local physician, has committed to preventing this tragedy from happening to other families by starting a fentanyl awareness nonprofit called BirdieLight. Beth will be sharing her potentially lifesaving message with our community the evening of Wednesday, February 23rd at 7:00 in the Schottenstein Theater in a presentation entitled The Fentanyl Crisis: What You Need to Know to Keep Your Kids Safe. The event is open to the public, so feel free to share this with interested friends and neighbors from Bexley and beyond. We will also be livestreaming her talk; see details on the attached flyer.

We hope you will mark your calendar and plan to join us as we educate ourselves about how to keep our kids safe in the face of this national health crisis.
