After listening to feedback from our staff members and community, district leadership decided a later start date would be beneficial for next school year.
Students will begin school on Thursday, August 20, 2020, allowing staff members in all departments more time to plan and prepare for students. The last day of school has moved from Thursday, May 27, 2021, to Thursday, June 3, 2021.
Because it has been a priority for the semester to end prior to winter break, the third quarter has 45 student days, and the fourth quarter contains 52 student days. These quarters being longer is advantageous for the school district. The third quarter is the most likely to have calamity days, while the fourth quarter has Ohio State Testing and AP Testing, all of which affect instruction.
