BCSD In-Person Athletics and Extracurriculars Update
July 31, 2020--The superintendent had suspended all in-person athletic and extracurricular activities effective 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, based on the most recent guidance from Franklin County Public Health.  However, upon gathering additional information, it is clear that the FCPH guidance is not effective until school is in session; therefore, athletics and marching band may continue in phase 1 at this time.  Golf and tennis may proceed with competitions per Ohio Department of Health guidelines.

FCPH recommends local school districts discontinue extracurricular activities such as sports, band, and other activities during the period of remote learning. You can read the guidance by clicking here.

At the request of the board, additional information is being gathered. The superintendent will make a final recommendation regarding in-person athletic and extracurricular activities during distance learning at the August 4 Board of Education meeting.
