Happy Summer, Montrose families and parents!

Goodness it is a beautiful day with our weather in central Ohio! I hope our summer is just as awesome as today.

This will be our last principal newsletter until Sunday, August 2, 2020. I have loved being the principal this year at Montrose. It certainly has been a year!  I am very grateful for the opportunity and I look forward to an awesome year in 2020-2021!

I want to let you know that over the summer, we will keep our Online Learning Hub up because it has lots of links that students that can be accessed over the summer including Lexia and other websites and softwares that we use during the school year. Students can also check out the Yoga Club tab for some yoga and stretches from Mrs. Baugh.

Later this week or next, we will send out a hard copy of our summer reading log in a special mailing.

I wish you all a VERY SAFE, HEALTHY, and ENJOYABLE summer!

Stay healthy, Montrose!

Smiles and virtual hugs,

Melissa K-L

BEXLEY SCHOOLS' TASK FORCE for 2020-2021
Like all school districts across our state and nation, we are looking ahead to what school will look like in August and into the 2020-2021 school year in Bexley Schools.

With the health and safety of our staff and students foremost in our minds, we are planning for what next year may look like. Per the governor’s comments and from reviewing guidance for opening the 2020-2021 academic year, we are planning for our school buildings to be open to students for in-person learning in some format.

We recognize the importance of making local decisions, with our community and our facilities in mind, that are best for our students. We have convened a Bexley Task Force to help design and provide input on our reopening plans. The task force includes administrators, teachers, classified staff, our clinic nurses, a board of education member, and parents who bring expertise in the areas of public health, medicine, and internet technologies. Strategic partnerships and community input are essential to our success as a district and we are looking forward to the work of this group.

LITTLE FREE PANTRY (LFP) NEEDS YOUR HELP!
The motto on the pantry is "Give what you can, take what you need".  Community members are encouraged to add what they can to the pantry when they are able. There is a strong community connection to this project.  We'd like to include all of our elementary, middle school and high school families in this community project-  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4da9a828a0fe3-lfpcommunity  Thank you for your support!
