Ohio's State Report Cards of public school districts for the 2015 - 2016 school year were released in September 2016. The Report Cards “are one piece of evidence …. that start productive discussions that drive our continuing improvement efforts,” notes the Ohio Department of Education.
Links to Bexley's report cards are below, with data showing high-school graduation rates, achievement results, Gap Closing measures and the percentages of students who were proficient readers by the end of third grade, among others. For the first time, there are letter grades on each of the report cards' six components.
All of Bexley's schools have room for improvement and
they are developing improvement plans based on the state report card results. For example, teachers are taking part in a pilot to gain insight into test content and methodology and students are receiving extra help via Approaches to Learning sessions and the Response to Intervention (RtI) process.
