The Bexley Health and Wellness Committee partnered this year with the Bexley Education Foundation to produce the second Bexley Family Fit and Fun Expo in September 2015. Some 400 community members took part in the event. The Expo welcomes children in grades K-8 who live in Bexley and the surrounding community; a guardian must accompany student participants.
A series of fun activities -- designed to engage children of all abilities and expose them to multiple ways of developing life-long fitness and healthy habits -- were arranged in an informal, yet structured environment and led by instructors:
- Physical Fitness and Recreational Sports
- Art in Motion
- Mind and Body
- Nutrition and Education
Participants were encouraged to try a range of activities such as Futsol, karate, dance, art, rock-climbing wall, Kids-Cook Off Challenge, kids fit cross training course, golf, yoga, healthy lunch game and more. Healthy snacks were featured as well.
