Family Update
Dear Families, As we turn toward the final 7 weeks of the school year, our students (and their families) start thinking about the next school year. This can include imagining which teacher they will have and which friends will be with them in class. We are often approached by families who have questions about the classroom placement process. Our primary goal is to create positive classroom learning environments for each of our students. We wanted to take a moment to share some information about our process for constructing class lists and possibly dispel some myths, too.  Your child’s current teacher will be interested in your thoughts regarding peers to place into your child’s classroom and the kinds of support you believe your child may be needing from next year’s teaching team. Additionally, it is important to remember that we do not ever accept specific teacher requests; each teacher is uniquely talented and qualified. Please see more information here. Each elementary will be hosting a Kindergarten Orientation Thursday evening from 6:30pm - 7:30pm in the school library.  Looking forward to a wonderful week,  Nyesha Clayton, Jeannine Hetzler, Jamel Johnson and Rachel Niswander
