Parent Institute

Bexley Parent Institute

The Bexley Parent Institute was created in an effort to partner with parents in their student's development and education. Bexley City Schools will host several events each academic year on various topics relevant to their student's growth. The Bexley Parent Institute seeks to engage, equip and empower parents through informative events and sharing resources.

Resilient Families - Strategies for Parenting Stressed Children - December 17

December can be a difficult time for everyone, but particularly children and adolescents. Schedules and structures at home and school tend to be “off” due to winter break. There's also the added excitement due to upcoming holidays. This year, we have the added struggle of the pandemic -- plans being cancelled, traditions broken, empty chairs at the tables, and the looming fear of illness.

Our partners at Nationwide Children's Hospital will discuss how these issues impact not only you but your children and what concerning behaviors to be aware of. NCH will also provide support regarding the added stress that 2020 has brought.
