There’s nothing like good conversation over a shared meal with friends and neighbors! Plan now to attend the first Community Dinner on Drexel on Sunday, October 1, from 6-8 p.m. Hosted by One Bexley Project, this special event will see Drexel Avenue at Main Street transformed into an elegant outdoor dining room. The One Bexley Project invites you to participate as a table host or to attend as a guest, where community members and leaders to share dinner, conversation, and deepen community belonging together.

You may register to host a table and provide dinner and table décor for 8 participants, including yourself. Please note financial assistance is available if needed!

Meet Award-Winning Author Laura Meckler When She Discusses Her Book “Dream Town” on October 8

Mark your calendar to meet The Washington Post’s national education writer Laura Meckler when she visits the Bexley Public Library on Sunday, October 8, from 3-4 p.m., to read from and discuss her new book Dream Town: Shaker Heights and the Quest for Racial Equity. In Dream Town, Ms. Meckler asks, “Can a community of well-intentioned people fulfill the promise of racial integration in America?” Join us to learn about the successes and roadblocks that Shaker Heights, Ohio has faced in working toward racial equity and how it might serve as a roadmap for communities like Bexley.
