From Principal Nyesha Clayton:

5th grade class, at the beginning of this school year, I called you Legendary and I challenged you to write your own story, one that will make you, your families and Montrose proud.  And today, you’ve done just that! So as you enter middle school, the challenge continues. It is time for your next chapter, make it a great one! Here are a few things to remember in your story: don't be afraid to try new things, like a sport or club,  ask questions, demonstrate kindness and empathy for others and always, always believe in yourself.  

Look around you:  Here you have people who support you on your journey into middle school, but so much of what happens when you get there depends on you. 

Go forward in bravery and confidence. Everything you need to be successful in middle school is already within you. Be actively engaged and fully present during the next 3 years. Make your middle school experience what you want it to be.  Congratulations  and best of luck to you as you enter middle school. Thank you.
