Description:
Special Education Paraprofessionals work directly with students with disabilities.  Preference given to candidates with Paraprofessional license and experience working with students with disabilities.

Job Summary:
Work under the direction of an Intervention Specialist to assist students with disabilities.   Responsibilities will include support with academic, behavioral, and adaptive daily living skills.

Qualifications:
Must have or be eligible to obtain an Educational Aide license through the Ohio Department of Education.

Current Rate of Pay for full-time Special Education Paraprofessionals (and is subject to an increase for the 24/25 school year):
Degree and experience in related fields will be considered in determining beginning rate of pay.  
No degree $17.47 per/hour to $18.29 per/hour (based upon years of experience)
Bachelor's Degree or higher $19.71 per/hour to $21.37 per/hours (based upon years of experience)


Incentives for full-time Special Education Paraprofessionals include (prorated based on number of days working):
Degree in Education or successful completion of Paraprofessional Assessment
Active State of Ohio Teaching License
RBT Certification
Longevity working in Bexley Schools
Work days are Monday through Friday: School Year (approximately 182 days); Paid holidays (approximately 8 days)
Work hours are normally 7 hours per day from 8am to 3:30pm
