The Bexley City Schools Board of Education has a proud tradition of annually presenting a community member(s) the Friend of Education Award. Annually in late January or early February the Board sends out a nomination form. Below is a summary of this form:
Criteria for this award is:
- Individual who has made a significant contribution to public education in the City of Bexley
- Not a current Bexley Schools employee (certificated, classified, exempt, administrative, aide)
- A person who goes above and beyond to give their time to our school
Nominations are encouraged from community members, educators, or non-educators
Procedure for award selection and presentation:
- Nominations will be forwarded to the Board of Education for their review and selection
- Annually at their May Board meeting, the Board will present the Bexley City Schools Friend of Education Award
- The Bexley City Schools Friend of Education Award itself is an engraved brick that is placed in the Alumni Piazza/Walkway at our Cassingham Complex
